Pool Cottage Bed and Breakfast in Shropshire is a delightful Victorian house built as part of the Culmington Manor Estate in the 1800’s.
The B&B is approached over a ford up a private drive leading you to a secluded and peaceful environment. Set in seven acres of grounds which include a lake, lawns, herbaceous borders and a wild flower meadow. The B&B property is a haven for Shropshire wildlife; a variety of ducks, geese and swans have all made the lake their home. The bird life includes woodpeckers, kingfishers, doves and swallows, to name but a few.
Pool Cottage B&B has been lovingly restored in keeping with its Victorian heritage and yet has the amenities of modern day living. The house is a warm family home that we invite you to share. We assure you of a warm welcome, with a breakfast to suit all tastes cooked on our Aga using locally sourced products. A guest’s sitting room is available offering a cosy, warm atmosphere, with log fire and a variety of reading material.
The bedrooms at Pool Cottage are extremely large with original wooden floors (plush rugs do keep your feet warm!) and easy chairs to relax in and desks to write at.
The double ensuite has a large double bed and the twin has two ¾ beds and a private bathroom and toilet.
As standard both rooms have TV and clock radio, hospitality tray with speciality teas, coffee, hot chocolate, bottled water and biscuits. Hairdryer and free Wi-Fi also available.
In keeping with the relaxed atmosphere at Pool Cottage, arrival, departure and breakfast times are to suit guests and you are welcome to bring a bottle of wine to relax with in the evening in front of the log fire.
The desk in the hallway has brochures covering the many and varied local activities and we are happy to help you plan your day.
Ludlow needs no introduction as regards to places to eat. However, we also have lovely old world pubs serving excellent food nearby.
